The People Behind
Your Perfect Home

Home Theater Advisors was built on one belief: New York City homeowners deserve high-end AV and smart home installations that are as beautiful as they are functional—without the luxury price tag.

Most AV company owners learned their craft on the job. Mark Feinberg learned his from inside the supply chain. Before founding Home Theater Advisors in 2011, he ran Product Management at ADI—one of the country's largest distributors of home theater equipment. He wasn't just selling and installing systems. He was helping decide which products made it to market, studying what separated excellent installations from mediocre ones, and seeing firsthand where companies cut corners.

"I spent years watching great products get installed badly. The equipment matters—but the installer matters more."

— Mark Feinberg, Founder

He brought that perspective back to Manhattan. The mission: deliver the quality and aesthetics of luxury AV installations at prices that don't require a hotel-lobby budget. That gap—between what high-end looks like and what most people think it costs—is where HTA lives.

Mark earned his BA in Government at Dartmouth and his MBA in Marketing and Strategy from Duke's Fuqua School of Business. Before his time in the AV industry, he worked in management consulting and strategic planning for consumer brands including Gillette, OfficeMax, and Warnaco. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and two children—and yes, his own home theater is immaculate.

Today, Mark leads a team of installation specialists who share his obsession with clean work: no visible wires, no exposed equipment, no shortcuts. Every system HTA installs is designed to look like it was always meant to be there.

Why We Exist

Three Beliefs That Drive
Every Install We Do

These aren't company taglines. They're the reasons Mark built HTA in the first place—and the standards we hold ourselves to on every job.

🎨

Aesthetics Are Non-Negotiable

Technology should enhance your home, not clash with it. Every wire hidden. Every component placed with intention. The install should be invisible.

⚖️

No Job Too Small or Too Big

Manhattan homeowners have been told that great AV work requires a luxury budget. We built HTA to prove that wrong—without compromising quality or craftsmanship.

🤝

Relationships Over Transactions

We don't disappear after the invoice. We offer ongoing support plans because we intend to be your AV partner for the long run—not a company you call once.

How We Work

What Sets an HTA Install Apart

This is how we approach every project—from a single TV mount to a full smart home renovation.

We Listen Before We Recommend

Every home is different. Every family uses technology differently. Before we suggest a single product, we understand how you actually live—room by room, routine by routine.

We Coordinate With Your Whole Team

We speak contractor, architect, and millworker. We plug into your renovation team so the AV infrastructure gets done right while the walls are still open.

We Protect Your Home on the Job

Every floor is covered. Every surface is protected. We've never left a job site without cleaning up, and we've never left a client without a walkthrough of their new system.

We Hide Everything That Should Be Hidden

Cables, routers, cable boxes, amplifiers—if it doesn't need to be visible, it won't be. We route, conceal, and install with clean aesthetics as the baseline, not the bonus.

We Stay Available After the Install

Technology evolves. Systems need updates. Families grow and their needs change. Our support plans keep us on call long after the initial project is complete.

We're Honest About What You Actually Need

We don't upsell. If a less expensive option does the job well, we'll tell you. Our goal is the right system for your home—not the most expensive one we can spec.

Serving Manhattan Since 2011

Over a decade of NYC-specific experience means we understand the unique challenges of apartment installations: building management, co-op boards, narrow hallways, and all.

What We Believe

"Your home should look extraordinary and work flawlessly. These aren't competing goals—they're the same goal."

Too many AV companies treat aesthetics as an afterthought. We treat it as the whole point. Here's how that belief shapes every decision we make.

We never staple a wire to a baseboard. If it can't be hidden inside the wall, we find another way.

We never leave equipment sitting on a shelf in plain sight. Cable boxes, routers, and amplifiers belong in closets or cabinets.

We never recommend more than you need. The right system is the one that fits your life—not the one with the highest margin.

We never disappear after you pay the invoice. Support plans exist because technology needs care, and relationships should outlast the project.

We never treat a renovation as someone else's problem. If you're redoing your apartment, we get involved early—when we can still make a difference.

We never leave your home dirtier than we found it. Floors covered, surfaces protected, cleanup done. Every time. Without exception.
